Now that I own my own Coffeehouse and in direct competition with the likes of MICKEY D’S This Commercial really struck me. I’m really not knocking the product itself (I have yet to do a taste test). What really gets me is how Fake and Contrived this quasi poetry/neo soul/ scene is! I’ve never seen this many Blow out Fros in one Room in my LIFE!
I’m happy that I’ll never have to worry about McDonald’s taking this away from my business. The Ground Level is own and operated by creatives who put together genuine poetry nights, open mics, and special events. And MAYBE one day we’ll have Dwele singing about OUR Lattes Too! LOL.
