As always, The Ground Level Poetry series is kicking off December with a Bang! The Poetry Power Summit, Wednesday December 2, will feature California Slam Poet Rudy Francisco for a one night only event that will knock your socks off for a measly $5!
The event will start with an Open Mic session around 8 and will feature local favorites Nick Muzka and others.
Here’s a little about Rudy Francisco:
Rudy Francisco was born and raised in San Diego, California. At the age of 21, Rudy completed his B.A in Psychology and decided to continue his education by pursuing a MA in Organizational Leadership.
As an artist, Rudy Francisco combines activism and poetry to enlighten the minds of those who witness his performance.
Rudy Francisco is the 2007 San Diego Grand Slam Champion, a member of the 2008 Hollywood Slam Team (5th in the nation), placed 17th in the individual world poetry slam 2008 and is the 2009 National Underground Poetry Slam Champion
