This day is set aside to celebrate all forms of the Spoken Word.  This includes (but not limited to) Poetry, Slam Poetry, Comedy, Story Telling, Theatrical Readings and Much More!

We’ve showcased some of the best performance poetry and slam in the Midwest and around the country.   As well as hosted some breath taking Theatrical readings.

Every 2nd Thursday with The Village Voice Soultry Cafe we jazz it up with Classic R&B and Soul music as well as poetry.  Hosted by DJ Boodyl and Elevated Thinkin’.

Most Thursdays are FREE.  There’s a $3 Cover 2nd Thursdays.  $5 Cover for all Featured Poet events.
